GTC Sample Portfolio: Core Purchase

As stated in the first article for the GTC Sample Portfolio, we’re keeping our quantitative processes private; but will share the moves we make on an actual portfolio, and then show the results via a Grid, VAMI and performance statistics. And please note our risk statement. You can find the previous post for the GTC Sample Portfolio here.

We posted the adjustments in the Member Area earlier in the day … but so that it’s posted here on the public side of the house.

I had mentioned in recent weeks in the Twitter stream that we were interested in either CME, CBOE or both for the longer-term core positions we hold in the GTC Sample Portfolio.

This afternoon, we purchased Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). We passed on purchasing CBOE for now. We would need to see more downside in CBOE. For the GTC Sample Portfolio, this means buying 3 shares of CME at 198.48.

CBOE? I’m letting that one go, and passing on it. At least for now. We will have an entry in “Read the Report” (Tier 2) in a bit, explaining my rationale.

Stay safe and trade well …
