GTC Sample Portfolio: New SPY Position

As stated in the first article for the GTC Sample Portfolio, we’re keeping our quantitative processes private; but will share the moves we make on an actual portfolio. And please note our risk statement.

We mentioned this a bit ago on the Twitter / X stream, and with much more detail in the Member area.

With the market dumping again (though it seems like a lot of absorption at the $500 level) .. the SH position is up. While the SPY strangle is undergoing just a bit of pain, or drawdown.

Well, to protect that side of the SPY Strangle, we are putting on a Ratio spread. On the May 17th, we sold 2 453 puts, and bought one 474 put. This cost us $0.46 per, out the original $1.51 per, that we received. So all told, the SPY option position, of just the premium sold is at $1.05 per.
