GTC Sample Portfolio: Order to Buy A Bit of Sin

As stated in the first article for the GTC Sample Portfolio, we’re keeping our quantitative processes private, but will share the moves we make on an actual portfolio. And please note our risk statement.

Recently, I was discussing the sin stocks, and specifically, DEO.

There is a reason for that.

DEO is actually one of the stocks, that I use in a longer-term process. The same longer-term that comprises a third of the GTC Sample Portfolio. The same longer-term process that holds COST, UNP and a few others. And that is why it’s price action had recently caught my eye.

So today? I had put an order for the GTC Portfolio to purchase a small (as in, not a full-sized) position in for DEO. Order for the GTC portfolio would be to buy 4 DEO shares at $161.92 Stop GTC.

We’ll see if we get filled.
